DH Ashe

This quirky character's look was taken from the Mystic Knights toy I used to rp the Dragonheart prequel fanfics. Originally conceived as a son to General Pyre and brooding supporting character, Ashe later became her nephew and cousin to my OC Kira as well as the provider of the comedic moments of the first 2 installments till the third.

He first appears in "Fire and Steel"(2002), working for a group of con dragonslayers led by the bulky Denton as his human master till the whole group was killed in the journey to fight against the red Fire dragon Pyrrock leaving him, Draco, little Kira, Ayeka, Deirdre and Garrett as the survivors.

In "The Three Kingdoms"(2004) he tags along with Draco on his flying adventures, using both their wits and escaping dangerous situations till they stumbled on a destroyed forest meeting the young Celtic princess Aislinn(who survived a bloody attack by Razorthorn). When they both fly her to Garrett and Deirdre's castle and meet again with a grownup Kira, Razorthorn shows up, kidnapping Deirdre but Draco saves her during his aerial battle atop the castle and Ashe injures Razorthorn's daughter Livia making the enemy retreat. As the threat to the kingdom was still on the loose, Aislinn persuades Deirdre and the dragons to sail back to her home and form an alliance with the help of Amphitrite at sea to defend against Razorthorn's army of goblins commanding ships. Meanwhile, Ayeka was in China battling a rebel dragon named Griffin. While the dragons flew over the ship, Ashe found an enslaved peasant woman named Sanja on an enemy ship, fled the incoming attacks and eventually became her friend. After the sea battle, he fought alongside Sanja in Razorthorn's lair and fields. When Sanja's face was left scarred by Livia's fire explosion, he attended her while his friend Draco fought the enemy one last time, resulting into victory. At Aislinn and Freyne's wedding celebration, Ashe showcased his pipe playing talent before he flew away next to Deirdre's ship.


In "The Final Revelation"(2006), Ashe was dying of an illness but still retained his spirit. His last hilarious escapade was when he was captured and supposedly worshipped by a Gaelic tribe as Draco found him. The two dragons and Sanja fled the villagers who tried to have them for lunch after Ashe failed reasoning with them speaking in their language but gibberish. When the war against dragons spread and his cousin flogged and left for dead by Livia, he was on his final moments with Sanja tending to him and died peacefully.

Well that's about what he did in those stories in addition to singing songs and drinking ale! I think I should redesign Ashe to a more chamealeon lizard-like face and crooked appearance!
