POTC meets The Little Mermaid: Prologue
Disclaimer: I do not own POTC, The Little Mermaid nor any of the songs referenced here. It was a result from playtime and then it turned into this “jukebox” musical for fun.
The Opening
(Fathoms Below fused with The Legend of Davy Jones begins as a privateer ship sails on the open sea)
Sailors:
Heave-ho, heave-ho
I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho
Brave sailor beware, for a big 'un's a-brewin'
Mysterious fathoms below
Heave-ho, heave-ho
I'll sing you a song of the king of the sea
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho
The ruler of all of the ocean is he
In mysterious fathoms below
Fathoms below, below
From whence wayward westerlies blow
Where Triton is king and his merpeople sing
In mysterious fathoms below
Solo Sailor interrupts the whole crew with this gloomy song) Some say he steers a spectral ship, that's ghostly gray and grand.
He's doomed to sail the seven seas, and ne'er set foot on land.
And if you chance to see him, you'll soon be dead from fright.
So sailors tell their children, on a dark and stormy night.
oh forty fathoms deep he walks,
with rusty keys his locker locks.
Just like he's half asleep he stalks,
Forty fathoms deep.
Privateer 1: (groans) Would ye listen to him.(The rest do the same but stay silent as the words sung by their fellow crewmember continues)
Forty fathoms deep he owns,
each sleeping sailor's soggy bones.
The legend they call Davy Jones,
at forty fathoms deep.
(They gasp in terror, But the captain yells them to get back to work. They reprise Fathoms Below one more time)
I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho
Look out lad a mermaid be waiting for you
In mysterious fathoms below
Fathoms below, below. From whence wayward westerlies blow
Where Triton is king and his merpeople sing
In mysterious fathoms below
Below, below
Mysterious fathoms below.
(The Little Mermaid main title theme prologue music fused with pirate music)
